Etelä-Vantaan Taitoluistelijat ry EVT (Southern Vantaa Figure Skaters) is a fully developed, versatile and growing skating club in Vantaa, Finland. For over 25 years we have provided our skaters with professional coaching of highest quality covering diversified skating interests and competition possibilities. The awards collection for the recognition and honors our skaters have achieved is on display in the main ice rink in Myyrmäki. EVT is a member of the Finnish Figure Skating Association.

The club is based at the Myyrmaki ice rink which is situated in Vantaa, approximately 15 kilometres north of Helsinki downtown. The skaters also train in Tikkurila, Klaukkala, and Kisakallio Sports Institute. The club is well known for its excellent synchronized skating teams and has also been one of the leading clubs in singles skating in the country for the past twenty years. One of the most successful Finnish male skaters ever, Markus Leminen, used to represent the Etela-Vantaa Figure Skaters in the European and World Championships for many years.

EVT's skaters and coaches are admired at the national Finnish Championship and international competition levels, for individual skating and synchronized skating alike. EVT has been selected several times as the year's best skating club in Finland and has also been awarded the Ludovika and Walter Jakobson Cup.

Currently in EVT we have basic skating school programs, individual and synchronized skating development groups, growing and developing individual skating competition groups and seven international-level synchronized skating teams. We currently have hundreds of vivacious and talented skaters in EVT, their age range being between 3-50 years.

Our web pages are still quite new and are developing and evolving along with our club's visions for the future. We thank you for your interest in our club and hope you enjoyed your visit to our web pages. Come back soon, we are happy to see you here!

EVT Singles Skating Groups

The EVT singles skating groups have undergone a lot of changes
in recent years, but today our singles skaters are a force to be
reckoned with. The spirit is high, and skills have developed to a
new level. Also the number of our competitive skaters has grown
significantly. In the competitive groups, there are several talented
skaters who are aiming at reaching the very top.

EVT Synchronized Skating Teams

Our synchronized skating teams are of the highest quality,
competing on the national and international level. Synchronized
skating has a long tradition in EVT, and the "Steps family" is
well-known worldwide. Over the years, our teams have medalled
in all competitive categories. We offer teams also for recreational
purposes. The try-outs for all of our teams will be held in March.

EVT Figure Skating Schools

Currently, we have well over 250 children and adult skaters
in our learn-to-skate programs. The classes are being held in
Myyrmäki and Klaukkala. The youngest children have the
opportunity to skate twice a week in order to develop their
basic skills even further.

EVT Coaches

In addition to the four professional full-time coaches, we also
employ almost 20 part-time coaches. These part-time coaches
are mainly involved in ballet, physical and metal training as well
as artistic guidance and physiotherapy. Naturally, we also have
numerous coaches in our learn-to-skate programs.

EVT Ice Shows

Our annual ice shows are extremely popular, and they are
traditionally viewed as the "grand finale" of each season.
All skaters get to perform in these shows regardless of their
age and skill level.
